EUROBODALLA WATER TREATMENT PLANT

Water Infrastructure Group has commenced construction of the $24 million Northern Water Treatment Plant for Eurobodalla Shire Council on the NSW south coast.

Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Water, Dr Mike Kelly, officiated at a sod turning ceremony for the new treatment facility on 10 November 2009.

BARWON WATER BIOSOLIDS MANAGEMENT PROJECT

Water Infrastructure Group is designing and building Australia’s largest thermal drying biosolids facility as part of a consortium with Barwon Water and Plenary Environment.

Water Infrastructure Group will also operate the facility at Black Rock near Geelong in Victoria for a 20-year concession term.

SURBITON PARK CLASS A WATER RECYCLING PLANT

Water Infrastructure Group delivered the $7 million Surbiton Park Class A Recycled Water Plant at Melton for Western Water. The new plant delivers 100% water recycling for Eynesbury Township, the first new town created in Victoria for 100 years.

DALBY

Water Infrastructure Group designed and built a $2.4 million Class A+ water recycling plant as part of the Stage 1 upgrade of Dalby Wastewater Treatment Plant for Dalby Regional Council in Queensland.

The Western Downs Region of south east Queensland has had below average rainfall for 13 years and in November 2009 Dalby residents moved to Level 5 water restrictions.

WATER TREATMENT PROJECTS

 

 

ADELAIDE DESALINATION PILOT PLANT

Water Infrastructure Group delivered the $10 million pilot plant in August 2008 and supervised operation and testing to April 2009.

The pilot plant is located at Port Stanvac. Water Infrastructure Group provided design, construction, management, commissioning and operating services for the pilot plant, which includes both conventional and membrane technology.

LEONORA DESALINATION PLANT

The water supply to the town of Leonora is sourced from the Station Creek borefield and exceeds the NH&MRC Australian Drinking Water Guidelines (1996) aesthetic limits for salinity, hardness and nitrates.

Investigations by the Water Corporation revealed that a 2.5ML/day reverse osmosis desalination plant for the treatment of the brackish water was the best method to address these water quality concerns.

HOPETOUN DESALINATION PLANT

Hopetoun is located approximately 585 km south east of Perth and provides a service centre for the local district and is a popular tourist destination.  The salinity of the groundwater varies but is typically in the region of 900 mg/L and is naturally hard.  Water from two borefields is pumped to a 2,250 kL Service Tank located on an elevated site that provides water to Hopetoun residents.

The Harding Dam Water Treatment Plant was constructed to supply potable water to the towns of Dampier, Karratha, Cape Lampert, Point Samson, Roeburn and other surrounding areas.

Water Infrastructure Group undertook design and construction of the civil, mechanical and electrical works for the new 60 Megalitre per day Microfiltration Water Treatment Plant.

MANGAWHAI ECOCARE

Water Infrastructure Group designed and built the NZ$60 million Mangawhai EcoCare Wastewater Scheme for Kaipara District Council in New Zealand. Water Infrastructure Group will also operate the scheme on behalf of the Kaipara District Council for 15 years.

Moura is located approx 65km west of Biloela on the Dawson Highway and around 200 kilometres from Gladstone.  The town serves as a base for industrial operation in the area including a major open cut coal mine and a major ammonium nitrate plant that supplies explosives to the mines in the region.

Pennant Hills is a premier 18 hole golf course and facilities located in the North Western suburbs of Sydney whose only water source was from the Sydney Water Corporation town water reticulation system.  The future prospects of severe water restrictions have resulted in the PHGC exploring alternative means of water supply to ensure future irrigation capability.

CAMPASPE WATER RECLAMATION PROJECT

Launched in May 2005, the $40 million Campaspe water reclamation scheme is one of the first projects in Victoria to treat 100 percent of wastewater generated by a community.

Coliban Water signed a 25-year agreement with Water Infrastructure Group to in 2002 to deliver and operate a water reclamation plant, water storage and pipelines.
