ADELAIDE DESALINATION PILOT PLANT
Water Infrastructure Group delivered the $10 million pilot plant in August 2008 and supervised operation and testing to April 2009.
The pilot plant is located at Port Stanvac. Water Infrastructure Group provided design, construction, management, commissioning and operating services for the pilot plant, which includes both conventional and membrane technology.
LEONORA DESALINATION PLANT
The water supply to the town of Leonora is sourced from the Station Creek borefield and exceeds the NH&MRC Australian Drinking Water Guidelines (1996) aesthetic limits for salinity, hardness and nitrates.
Investigations by the Water Corporation revealed that a 2.5ML/day reverse osmosis desalination plant for the treatment of the brackish water was the best method to address these water quality concerns.
HOPETOUN DESALINATION PLANT
Hopetoun is located approximately 585 km south east of Perth and provides a service centre for the local district and is a popular tourist destination.
The salinity of the groundwater varies but is typically in the region of 900 mg/L and is naturally hard. Water from two borefields is pumped to a 2,250 kL Service Tank located on an elevated site that provides water to Hopetoun residents.
RIVERLAND
Manufacture, assemble and test of 16 GE-Z-BOX membrane filtration skids for nine Riverland townships along the River Murray.
Mechanical and electrical works for the following:
• Continuous GE-Z-BOX ultrafiltration plant, using immersed hollow fibre Zeeweed® membranes with a nominal flow rate of 900 kL per day....
HARDING DAM WTP
The Harding Dam Water Treatment Plant was constructed to supply potable water to the towns of Dampier, Karratha, Cape Lampert, Point Samson, Roeburn and other surrounding areas.
Water Infrastructure Group undertook design and construction of the civil, mechanical and electrical works for the new 60 Megalitre per day Microfiltration Water Treatment Plant. The plant uses chemical dosing to assist the Microfiltration system in treating the water.
